The rums of the Armada series are characterized by the very long period of aging. After so many years in a tropical climate, it evaporates in an increasingly important way, in fact only a few drops of truly extraordinary agricultural rum remain inside the barrels. This is why Gregory Vernant decided to create the Armada series: it will be a way to leave a mark of the style of his aged rums to his heirs.
Therefore, only those minimum quantities left in the best barrels will become part of the Armada series. Of the Armada 1997 only very few crystal carafes to the degree of 49.3% were bottled.
